  4. To bypass the intro sequence (VGA/EGA only), and force the graphics
  5. mode, invoke the program using:
  6.  
  7.                                DB -n
  8.  
  9. where n is the graphics mode number, as follows:
  10.  
  11.                        1) VGA   16 colour
  12.                        2) EGA   16 colour
  13.                        3) Tandy  4 colour
  14.                        4) CGA    4 colour
  15.                        5) Tandy 16 colour

  17. The intro sequence can also be terminated when running, by pressing ESC or
  18. Q. The game will then load as normal.

  20. To install on a hard drive, simply make a directory on it, eg:
  21.  
  22.                        MKDIR C:\DEATH
  23.  
  24.  
  25. and copy all the files from all the disks into the directory, eg:
  26.  
  27.                        COPY A:*.* C:\DEATH
  28.  
  29.  
  30. The program will take about 1.2 Mb of memory on the hard disk.

  32. Alternatively, it can be played from floppy, simply insert the next disk
  33. at the disk prompt and press fire. For 5.25" users, only the last 3
  34. disks need to be inserted once the game has loaded, simply cycle through
  35. them, when prompted for a disk.

  37. The program needs at least 330k of memory to run, except for Tandy 16
  38. colour which needs 426k, but the more memory available the less disk
  39. accessing required during play.
